The Donald Dewar Club

Donald Dewar Club members will provide the Scottish Labour Party with a crucial source of funding which can be relied upon year after year. It will ensure that the Scottish Labour Party is a successful political organisation that can effectively campaign at a national, regional and local level.

Donald Dewar was Scotland's first First Minister. He campaigned over many years to achieve devolution for Scotland through the Constitutional Convention and was responsible for delivering the Scotland Act, which established the Scottish Parliament, after the election of the Labour Government in 1997. He was a passionate believer that equality of opportunity in education was the key to delivering social justice for all.
