Scottish Labour Business Forum

The Scottish Labour Party, in partnership with Arden Strategies, would like to invite you to Scottish Labour’s Business Forum 2024.

The event will run in parallel with Scottish Labour Conference but will be a distinct and separately ticketed event designed to allow C-suite business leaders an opportunity for high level discussion with senior UK and Scottish Labour politicians on how we develop a growth plan for our economy which puts good business strategy and engagement at its heart.

The Business Forum will take place on Friday 16 February 2024.

The morning will begin with a business breakfast at 8am, followed by a series of panel discussions and roundtables, admittance into the Scottish Labour Leader’s speech at conference, post speech analysis, and will commence with an evening reception from 6pm with a further chance for informal networking.

Scottish Shadow Cabinet Secretary for the Economy, Business, and Fair Work, Daniel Johnson MSP, will host the event and there will be key contributions throughout the day from the Leader of Scottish Labour, Anas Sarwar MSP, UK Shadow Business and Trade Secretary, Jonathan Reynolds MP, UK Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Darren Jones MP, Deputy Leader of the Scottish Labour Party, Jackie Baillie MSP, Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland, Ian Murray MP as well as other senior members of the UK and Scottish Shadow Cabinet and Frontbench.

The day will bring together business leaders from across the country for roundtable discussions, Panel Q & A’s, speeches, and networking sessions. There will be plenty of opportunity to speak with leading figures in both the Scottish and UK Labour Party, including Prospective Parliamentary Candidates and senior business advisors, on a range of policy priority areas including financial, professional and tech services, energy and net zero, hospitality, tourism, ‘Brand Scotland’, and how business and government can better interact and work together.

We hope you can join us for what will be a truly interesting and worthwhile event. The agenda which will be sent upon on registration, has been specifically designed to facilitate the highest quality engagement between Labour politicians and the business community.
