The Labour Party are looking to recruit a number of Community Organisers to work as part of the Labour Party across the UK.

The post holders will be part of a community organising taskforce in communities working with community leaders and labour party members to build a sustainable coalition to affect and deliver social change.

The post-holders should have the ability to work proactively with a variety of stakeholders, community groups and groups who share Labour values, knowledge of community based campaigning and wider organising methods. They should also have the ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision and to deliver work to agreed deadlines.

Salary:  £24,596.31 per annum plus a fixed sum allowance of £1,060 and a car allowance of £4,200

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Labour Party’s new Trainee Digital Community Organising Programme.

The successful candidate will have some knowledge of digital campaigning and organising methods, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, the ability to be adaptable and show a willingness to learn and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Role:  Parliamentary Assistant (Maternity Cover)
Working For: Lesley Laird MP (Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath)
Location: Kirkcaldy, Fife
Salary: In line with IPSA pay scales (between £20,420 – £31,875 dependent on experience)

Lesley is looking to recruit a Parliamentary Assistant to assist her in her constituency office in Kirkcaldy. This position is to cover a period of maternity leave (an initial 9 months contract from the start of September 2018). Lesley is looking for someone who has excellent research skills, attention to detail, experience of advising on policy issues and developing local campaigns. In addition, you will be highly organised, proactive, enthusiastic and able to deal with competing priorities with a strong focus on constituents needs.
