Delivering for Scotland

The first Labour budget is game-changing for Scotland.

It delivers the largest funding settlement for Scotland in the history of devolution. £47.7 billion.

That’s an extra £1.5bn for the Scottish Government this year and another £3.4bn next year.

After 14 years of Tory chaos, division, and decline, this budget turns the page on those lost years, fixing the foundations and rebuilding our country.

This budget keeps the promises made to Scots in the election and delivers on the first steps committed in our manifesto.

It marks the end of the era of austerity — raising much needed cash for our public services.

We’ve committed not to increase taxes on working people – instead we’re raising the minimum wage and delivering a pay rise for 200,000 of the lowest-paid Scots.

We’re helping families keep more of their own hard-earned cash in their pockets.

This is a Budget that prioritises investment to ensure that we have the funding available for Scotland’s NHS, our schools, and our public services.

Now it is up to the SNP to not waste that money.

We’re delivering the change Scotland voted for at the general election in July, but in 2026 the next stage of change will be electing a Scottish Labour government.
