A choice between more of the same SNP failure or change with Scottish Labour.

A choice between a government that has run out of road or a government ready to get to work.

A choice between more broken promises or a serious plan to fix the mess, get the basics right, and build a better future for our country.

After 20 years of SNP government, Scotland cannot afford more of the same. We cannot afford more long waiting lists, more pressure on family budgets, more young people locked out of home ownership, more frustration at public services that are not there when people need them, and more waste at the heart of government.

A plan to cut NHS waiting times, end the 8am rush for a GP and bring back the family doctor.

A plan to make life easier for working parents through better childcare and breakfast clubs in every school.

A plan to create jobs and opportunity through 9,000 new apprenticeships and backing Scottish industry.

A plan to build 125,000 new homes, fix our roads, put community police back at the heart of neighbourhoods, and cut quangos by a third so taxpayers know their money is being spent well.

I believe that too.

I believe Scotland’s best days are ahead of us, but only if we have the courage to choose change.

That is what this election is about.

If you want a government that will work every day to deliver for the hard-working majority, vote for it.

If you want a government that will fix the mess, get the basics right and build a better future, vote for it.

The SNP have had 20 years in charge, they don’t deserve another 5 years.

Leader of the Scottish Labour Party
