Labour has branded waiting times for key diagnostic test for conditions such as cancer unacceptable, as new figures reveal almost 18,000 cases were taking longer than they should have in new data published today.

Labour has raised concerns over the health of the health service after new figures for the 18 week referral to treatment standard revealed over 55,000 patient ‘journeys’ took longer than the 18 week target in the first three months of the year.
